Leslie | Charlottesville Maternity Photographer
I had the absolute great pleasure to take maternity photos of my friend Leslie, and photos of her family, back on what was supposed to be a hot, rainy weekend.
Isn’t she STUNNING? Leslie is a fitness coach (check out her FITSimple page to go get inspired), so she does have an edge up on keeping herself in prime condition throughout her entire pregnancy.
Leslie and I have known one another from our early photography days, and I’ve also gotten to know her awesome husband, Tommie…between numerous get-togethers, a wedding we all met up at in Tennessee last year, we have to travel a bit to get together! In fact, they came down from Maryland, and spent the weekend here at Boars Head Inn with their girls and made a trip out of it!
Because there was a heavy chance of rain when we were discussing timing earlier in the week, we started out having them come by the studio (our house!) on the way down. The girls played with my daughter, and Leslie glammed it up.
However, we simply could NOT have asked for better weather. It turned out to be a bit cloudy in the morning and afternoon, and then the clouds were thinning by the time we got to the Boars Head, where we continued our maternity shoot into a family shoot with the girls!
Just a few clouds, but it actually cooled the temperature down (July, and it was actually in the upper 70s!).
So, being my friends, we scheduled things a little differently and included time to talk and hang out, and let the girls play. And, that included having my daughter come with us (not a normal occurrence with our sessions at Skybird Photography, ha!), and she helped out a lot by helping make the girls laugh.
Here the girls are with a pillow to represent their new baby brother or sister on the way (Leslie & Tommie are “Team Green”!).
We found such gorgeous spots around Boars Head Inn, with crape myrtles blooming and beautiful architecture and landscaping throughout.
GAH I love these two!!
A huge, GIGANTIC thanks to Leslie, Tommie, and the girls, for making the trek all the way down here to do photos with me. I can’t wait to meet the new little guy! Or girl? 😉
