Little Sister Sloane | Fluvanna 1 Year Photographer

I had the pleasure of taking 1 year photos of Sloane!

You may remember Sloane from her newborn photos, and her big brother Liam.

Well, how is THAT for some change?  The family is just as beautiful as ever, but now Sloane is playing catchup to her brother Liam (who I also did his newborn photos long ago), trying to get as big as he is!  Liam helped model for me and check my light…here he is in his 2 year old wonderful-ness!  I know, that’s not really a word, is it?  Still, it seems to fit Liam:

Sloane was also a great model, but like most 1 year olds, our photos consist of trying to get her to smile in ONE millisecond, and snapping the picture before she is off crawling away to a new adventure.  Purple is her mother’s absolute favorite color, so we I made sure to purple up a few pics.

And, per usual, I always try to get a few comparison photos from newborn to a year…the scale of this backdrop alone can show how much she’s grown…those flowers on this blanket look so tiny now in comparison to when Sloane was first born.

Yup, trying to keep a 1 year old still is like herding cats.  😉  BUT, that’s part of being a 1 year old, off to explore the world.

She’s working hard on walking but still needs her mom and dad to help.

And one last comparison to show how much both Sloane and Liam have grown…it’s also fun to see Liam at age 1 with Sloane when she was just a few days old, and now Sloane is 1 year old:

You really see how much they look alike, and yet so different.  Funny how that works!
