Happy 1st Birthday | Charlottesville 1 Year Photographer
Before Avery’s cake smash, we did some portraits commemorating her 1st birthday!
Avery was quite literally 1 year old this day…she came in on her birthday! And poor thing, still recovering from an ongoing cold, but you’d never know she was feeling a little peaked with this sweet face:
Being an October baby, we “borrowed” my daughter’s Halloween pumpkin (luckily, not carved yet!) for a little fall-themed photo-op.
Her cute fall colored plaid dress fit the theme perfectly.
When photographing a mobile one year old, you have to be creative to keep them slightly still for long enough to get a shot…my little rocking chair helps distract the little ones for a least a few seconds…before Avery tried to climb right back out of it!
Before the cake shoot, we used the backdrop for a few quick photos with her pretty birthday tutu.
OH those eyes just slay me! Avery’s big blue eyes are definitely the first thing you notice about her…you can’t help but be mesmerized by those pretty peepers.
OH baby toes, they are the best!
Thanks to Avery for being such a trooper despite her cold, and to her mom for coming by! Always great to see those newborns grow up, sniff, sniff! 😉
