Lauren + Matt | 3 Cats Photo 2nd Shooter

During the quiet late winter, early spring, it’s often pretty quiet for photographers and for me as a photo editor!  I edit for Kristen Wynn up in Pittsburgh, and if you can imagine, there aren’t many weddings in the late winter months up in Pittsburgh.  Let alone, even early spring, where March can still bring blizzards.  So by March, I’ve long-since finished editing 2016’s weddings.  I had the occasional newborn and baby photoshoots (babies are born all year! 😉 ), but late winter/early spring is the time to “spring clean”.  Update the website, review business plans, etc.

So, of course I was excited to have a break from the administrative side of things, and get out with my favorite Beths (Beth, the owner of 3 Cats Photo, and her friend and fellow photographer, also Beth!) to Lexington at House Mountain Inn for a beautiful wedding!  Surprisingly, it was NOT cold.  At all.  It was a beautiful, temperate day.  You couldn’t imagine better weather for a wedding!  Just overcast enough to allow for beautiful lighting (yay, for us!) and not roast guests, decked out in their gorgeous attire and enjoying cocktails out on the patio, overlooking the mountains.

Lauren and Matt were such a lovely couple, and it was fun getting some time with the groomsman while they finished tying up their ties and getting ready for the big event.  The reception details were lovely, and those mountain views!
