Erin & Megan | 3 Cats Photo 2nd Shooter
I had the most amazing experience last fall…to have the honor of second shooting for the AMAZING Beth of 3 Cats Photo!
Beth had contacted me, in search of an additional second shooter (her friend, also named Beth, often works with her) to handle some things during the day that she can’t get to…the beauty of a second shooter! Beth had seen some work I had done for April Bennett earlier in the year and liked what she saw, so we met for a lunch and a friendship was born.
For both of us, this is a perfect relationship. I know you guys see me shooting weddings sometimes, but it seriously is only as a second shooter…i.e., a person who is hired by the main photographer to help catch moments of the day when they can’t be in two places at once, or to bring in a bit of a diversified set of images, and different spots during the very quick, but important ceremony. Double the shooting, double the chance of catching that kiss!
Erin & Megan were wonderful to work with, on this super hot day. I swear, I drank more water that day and still left dehydrated, wooh! Normally you wouldn’t think it would be that hot in September, but then one remembers, they live in Charlottesville, and the weather changes on the drop of a dime. However, the scenery at Panorama Farms was exquisite, and everyone there was so nice. Such a moving ceremony, and gorgeous details, I had no troubles finding things to shoot.
So expect more coming that I’ll post every so often as I work with Beth for many weddings to come! Including…one this upcoming weekend. 😉
