The Y Family | Forest Lakes VA Family Photographer
Alright, so it may be 2017, but now that ALL holiday cards have been sent out (well, quite awhile ago!) it’s time to roll out some of my fall family sessions…especially now when the trees have no leaves, much of the wildlife has migrated or is hibernating, and we need to be reminded that leaves do grow on trees.ย ๐
I have had the honor of photographing this family a few times before (for a newborn session, Easter, a cake smash, and even on vacation), but never have we had scenery like this!
:swoon:
And no, I didn’t hire the geese as extras, we just lucked out!
The fall had been a bit weird this past year…it was actually 90 degrees at one point this day we went down by the lake.ย Luckily, by the time we had our session, it had cooled down considerably, maybe a balmy 80 degrees, ha!ย But the sun going down and shade kept us all quite comfortable.
I’ve known this family for many years; Malcolm is the same age as my daughter, and sweet Wyatt is getting ready to go to Kindergarten next year.
The great thing about it being so warm is the boys could take off their shoes and feel a bit of the water…but only towards the end of the session were we going to risk that!
Thanks again to the Y family!
