Washington DC Wedding | 2nd Shooter with Christina Keddie Photography
It’s been a cold winter (well, okay, MOST has been cold, some have been 70 degree days). And now that we are still under a foot or so of snow, I am thinking back to last summer. And what a glorious summer we had…including something a little unique for me!
My great friend, Christina, of Christina Keddie Photography, was in need of a second shooter for a wedding in Washington, D.C. Christina is based in Princeton, but travels for clients…especially those originally from Princeton. I have second shot for our mutual friend, Jodi (see that fall wedding here), and Jodi in turn has traveled up north and second shot for Christina! So together we’ve made a bit of a triangle of wedding photography ladies. 🙂
Kirsten and Seth had their wedding celebration on a rainy day in June…but that hardly dampened their spirits. The ladies had lots of laughs getting ready, and actually seemed remarkably calm!
The ceremony was held at the National Presbyterian Church, a modern, beautiful church. As the second shooter, I worked on capturing some details while Christina is busy getting portraits of the bridal party.
Kirsten was a complete cut up, and it was so much fun seeing her and her friends enjoying the day.
See? The architectural side of me loved the interior of this church!
Seth and Kirsten had a first kiss reminiscent of a movie!
And then it was time to party!
The reception was held at the Washington Golf and Country Club in Arlington.
It was a stunning venue, and Kirsten & Seth’s touches of details from their wedding were perfect!
The best men speeches were hilarious!
And the dancing with the parents…just stunning!
A truly fun group, who enjoyed every minute of the event.
A special thanks to Christina Keddie for asking me to be her second…it is was a great experience I don’t get to have often (as weddings are not my usual work! I follow up with the baby photos!) and I was delighted especially to watch this couple and their family and friends together on such a joyous occasion. Congratulations to Kirsten & Seth!
