Charlottesville Photographer | Ivy Creek Natural Area
The fall is the perfect time of year for family sessions in Charlottesville!
The weather is warm…ish.ย The colors are pretty…ish.ย The light is beautiful (no “ish” about that!).
It was my pleasure to take annual family photos of my friends (see last year when we were at Monticello Trail).ย This year we hit up the Ivy Creek Natural Area.ย It has trails, a beautiful barn backdrop, trees to climb…you name it!ย A great place to enjoy nature and to capture family portraits.
My very favorite from this session was one of the very last shots we got as the sun was starting to set.ย The light gets low and golden, and makes for a beautiful backdrop.
However, prior to the later evening, the sky was a beautiful blue, and Mikey was full of laughter and silly.
Mikey was raring to go and a great sport.ย We always try to make sessions fun for everyone, and I’m preeeetty sure Mikey had a great time!
Six years old:ย my favorite age (it so happens to be the age of my daughter right now!).ย It is full of a mix of a willingness to listen…mixed in with a bit of prankster!ย Good times!
But, 6 year olds are still willing to sit still for a quick family portrait.ย ๐
And obviously ready for Christmas, as he played the part of a reindeer well.ย ๐
Thank you to the P family for a fun evening!
