Vacation Time | Outer Banks (Charlottesville Family Photographer)

Every year, our family takes a summer trip down to the Outer Banks, and this year was no exception.  And one ritual we have, is I provide family photos for the other families as my part of the “work”.  Usually, that gets me out of cooking a few meals, so it’s a nice trade.

The G Family is a long-time family friend, who I have done newborn photos for their two youngest, Simon and Reid.

For their session, we got out early in the morning and took advantage of the rising sun.  The boys had a great time getting to play in the sand right after breakfast!  I’m not sure if I even had enough time for breakfast, as the summer sun comes up fast off the horizon, and we wanted to take advantage of the early light.

Such a happy family, and we found out right before our vacation that they have some BIG news…there are actually 6 people in this picture:

Okay, not including any I possibly photoshopped out!  🙂  That’s right, the G family is expecting another baby next April!  We had to be very quiet as the boys didn’t know the news yet, but now they are “out”…first ultrasounds are leaning to another boy!

The great, growing family were all smiles, even 1 year old Reid!

Congratulations to the G family, can’t wait until newborn photo-time next year.  😉
